Black Beauty is a beautifully written book. It is told by Black Beauty himself, a beautiful thoroughbred horse. He starts his story at the very beginning when he is still with his mother to his very last home. As you read this book you will become a horse yourself. You step into Black Beauty's "hooves".
He starts off as a very happy horse. His master is kind and his wise mother teaches him many things. He grows into a beautiful horse and begins his breaking in to later on be sold. He tells us the details of everything. Trying the horrible bridle and bit, and the saddle. Once he finishes his breaking in he sold to his first master. He enjoy s his time with him and his new friends Merrylegs and Ginger. He passes many other masters. Some abusive others wonderful. Some even die and Beauty tells us how he feels and the people around him.
This remarkable book will change many minds of people who believe that animals aer just, well, animals. When in fact they each are someone in their own little world. And each of them with their own story. Just like Black Beauty.
